My vision for Dublin is that it be a safe and accessible community for people of many backgrounds to come together to live, work, and play.
Protecting our Community
I am committed to ensuring that our police, fire, and other first responders are adequately trained, staffed and equipped to provide daily services for our growing population and timely response in an emergency.
One of my top priorities will be that Dublin's various safety services, especially the Police and Fire Departments, have what they need to do their jobs well. We need to ensure that our first responders have the resources they need to do their job, and we maintain an adequate ratio of police officers for our growing population. I will maintain close relationships with regional public safety partners and the Camp Parks team to ensure we are prepared to respond during emergency situations.
I am committed to ensuring we maximize developer fees, expand housing price point diversity, and get our fair share of infrastructure funding.
The pace of growth in Dublin has been astonishing and Dublin needs to catch up with infrastructure and school projects. I will work to maximize future development revenues and to ensure our city plan moves us towards a more pedestrian and bike-friendly environment with a focus on relieving traffic congestion. At the same time, we need to ensure we maintain price point diversity in our housing inventory so that our seniors, service members, service employees, teachers, and young adults can all afford to live here. As a regional transportation hub, Dublin needs our fair share of county, regional, and state funded projects to expand our transportation infrastructure. I will represent Dubliners’ interests, first and foremost, when working with regional partners, to intelligently expand our roads and our access to transportation options.
I am committed to expanding small business, entrepreneurial, public service, and livable wage jobs right here in Dublin.
Dublin already has a vibrant and varied business environment. I will work with local business to ensure they have the support they need to be successful here in Dublin. As we grow we have a tremendous opportunity to attract more small businesses, innovation, and high-paying jobs to Dublin. As our burgeoning regional economy shifts, I will work to build strong relationships with regional education, trade, government, and business development partners to ensure that Dublin becomes a key location for future jobs in tech, services, and management.
